Salary range:
The salary range for this position is $315,000 to $380,000. This position includes membership in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan Application Window Open date: July 1, 2025 Next review date: Sunday, Aug 31, 2025 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Wednesday, Dec 31, 2025 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description The University of California Davis Eye Center, Department of Ophthalmology & Vision Science, is accepting applications for a highly qualified early or mid-career, full-time glaucoma clinician to join our active Glaucoma Service. The department provides the full range of eye care services at 5 locations across the greater metropolitan Sacramento area. The Department now occupies the new world-class 65,000 square foot Ernest E. Tschannen Eye Institute on the UC Davis Health campus. UC Davis Health is an integrated health system with a 646-bed hospital and a level 1 trauma center. UCD Health is renowned for its commitment to health care technology and for its regional collaborations with surrounding health care systems. This position is designed for an individual who will be active in the medical and surgical care of patients with glaucoma and who is also interested in glaucoma-related clinical research. We have a well-regarded clinical glaucoma fellowship that is now in its 19th year and the new glaucoma faculty will become part of the team that will oversee fellow training. Responsibilities will include clinical patient care, teaching and supervision of medical students and house staff, University service, call shared equally with other faculty members, and a commitment to scientific investigation, both clinical and/or translational. This recruitment is conducted at the assistant and associate professor rank. The resulting hire will be at the assistant/associate rank, regardless of the proposed appointee's qualifications. The candidate must have an MD or MD/PhD, be board certified, completed an AUPO-FCC certified glaucoma fellowship program and possess or be eligible for unrestricted licensure in the state of California at the time of appointment. Additional qualifications

Completion or expected completion of an AUPO-FCC Glaucoma fellowship by July 1, 2026. Applicable board certification. Preferred qualifications
