JOB MISSION:

The Senior Analyst, Consumer Insights & Analytics role at New Balance leverages analytics, primary research, and secondary research to make data-driven decisions for New Balance's key functions. This position requires strong analytical skills to identify opportunities that improve consumer experience across omni-channel touchpoints.

They will be responsible for:

1) Consumer research initiatives that generate insights to direct and inform the go-to-market process and

2) Collaboration with key stakeholders (across Site Merchandising, Digital Product, In-store Retail, Consumer Experience, Marketing, and Strategy) to strategically enhance the consumer journey across owned Retail and eCommerce.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Research and Analysis:

  • Identify site, store, and experience optimizations via deep understanding of consumer needs, pain points, and behaviors
  • Research consumer trends and omni-channel engagements to deepen NB's connection with consumers
  • Connect first party data, second party data and primary research insights into a cohesive storyline
  • Develop measurement strategies that enable impact tracking for global and regional teams
  • Lead and support cross-functional qualitative and quantitative primary research and first party data analytics initiatives

Strategic Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking:

  • Identify new opportunities to answer global retail, ecommerce, and consumer experience challenges
  • onboard and oversee new and existing data partners, tools, and processes, while coordinating with privacy and legal to ensure compliance
  • Work with regional and global partners to improve consumer data capabilities and actionability of data strategy

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Marketing, Human Centered Design, or a related field
  • 5+ years of professional experience in Consumer Insights, Digital Analytics, and Business Intelligence; Agency experience welcomed
  • Translate complex analytics principles into concise, clear, and actionable outcomes for key stakeholders
  • Experience moderating or facilitating group ideation sessions that unlock alignment, identify roadblocks, or generate new ideas
  • Expert in translating business needs and questions into research and analytics methodologies
  • Experience working and building relationships with partners across functions and levels (operations, marketing, finance, privacy, etc.)
  • Proficient in SQL and principles of database architecture, with experience in Snowflake and BigQuery preferred
  • Proficient with Business Intelligence tools, PowerBI preferred
  • A self-starter who can wear multiple hats to develop strategies, roadmap solutions, and drive execution
  • Passionate about New Balance with a deep appreciation for the company's history and products

Flexible Work Schedule

Our North American hybrid model encourages rich in-person experiences, showcasing our commitment to teamwork and connection, while maintaining flexibility for associates. New Balance Associates currently work in office three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Our offices are fully open, and amenities are available across our North American office locations. To continue our focus on hybrid work we have introduced "Work from Anywhere" (WFA) for four weeks per calendar year. This model will help us enhance our culture while continuing to maintain elements of flexibility.
