Job Summary

As a Manufacturing Supervisor with us, you will take on a key role in managing the daily operations of production teams. Your leadership will be vital in ensuring that we meet our quality benchmarks and production objectives while fostering a safe, efficient, and productive work environment. You will have the opportunity to influence the operational excellence of our manufacturing processes and contribute to the success of our organization directly.

Primary Duties

In this role, your primary responsibilities will include the following:
- Supervising the daily activities of employees across different stages of the manufacturing process for leaf springs, consistently ensuring adherence to safety regulations and company policies.
- Developing and fine-tuning shift schedules based on production planner requirements to maximize efficiency and productivity.
- Conducting thorough training sessions for new employees, providing them with the essential skills and knowledge necessary for their roles.
- Regularly reviewing and updating safety protocols, ensuring all workers receive training on safe machine operation to prevent workplace hazards.
- Inspecting the quality of both ongoing and completed products to verify compliance with organizational standards.
- Monitoring attendance and performance metrics, documenting relevant information and taking necessary actions to address any issues.
- Offering support in minor maintenance tasks on production equipment, ensuring uninterrupted operational processes.
- Actively participating in departmental meetings to discuss performance metrics, address challenges, and propose operational enhancements.
- Analyzing production schedules to accurately estimate required workforce and resource allocation for optimal job execution.
- Communicating and enforcing company policies and safety standards consistently; promoting a culture of accountability within the team.
- Drafting and submitting reports on workplace incidents, with recommendations for safety improvements directed to management.
- Resolving workplace conflicts and addressing employee concerns efficiently through empathy and analytical problem-solving.
- Recommending personnel actions such as promotions and disciplinary measures based on comprehensive performance evaluations.
- Maintaining accurate time and production records to ensure precise calculations for payroll and productivity assessments.
- Completing and submitting daily operational reports to align with internal deadlines.
- Conducting annual performance evaluations for team members, guiding their career development and growth initiatives.
- Overseeing the cleanliness and organization of the plant area to ensure compliance with all safety and hygiene regulations.
- Carrying out any assigned security responsibilities to promote a safe working environment for everyone involved.

Qualifications

  • Proven ability to interpret and read essential documents, such as safety guidelines, operational manuals, and technical documents relevant to manufacturing processes.
  • Experience in composing concise reports and effective communications that uphold clarity and professionalism.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, enabling you to effectively present information to diverse audience groups.
  • Competency in essential mathematical calculations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division for production analysis.
  • Ability to analyze rates, ratios, and percentages, as well as graph interpretation to draw insightful conclusions from data.
  • Adeptness in troubleshooting practical issues and managing variables in a diverse manufacturing environment effectively.
  • Ability to follow comprehensive instructions in various formats including written, verbal, or graphical presentations.

Education / Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
  • At least one to three months of relevant manufacturing experience, or equivalent training and education, is preferred.
