We are seeking a uniquely qualifiedProgram Manager position to support Naval Surface Warfare Center Port Hueneme.

Position Description:

You will be the Program Manager for a Task Order issued by NSWC Port Hueneme and be responsible for 20-50 people involved in various projects locally and at travel locations.

Work location and telework: The government work location is Port Hueneme, CA, and the PM may be required on base supporting the customer up to 5 days a week. Some teleworking or work from the contractor's location may be possible with the customer's approval.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Program Managers are concerned with the overall planning, direction, and success of major programs, systems development efforts, and research or technology initiatives that have great significance to the activities and the agency's needs. Programs are typically large, multi-year efforts divided into several sub-programs/tasks. Program Managers are also responsible for the overall program definition, organization, and direction of short and long-range plans. This includes the responsibility for formulating, guiding, and directing the technical approach; and defining and negotiating with activity and agency personnel for necessary resources. Establishment and control of technical milestones, schedules, budgets, and costs are also essential tasks for the Program Manager.

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • Bachelor's level degree in any technical or managerial discipline
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience as a Program Manager with demonstrated expertise in the following:
    1. Leading the planning, execution, and successful delivery of major programs, system development projects, or technology advancement efforts that are critical to achieving organizational objectives.
    2. Managing large-scale, multi-year projects structured into multiple sub-programs or tasks.
    3. Ability to formulate and lead technical strategies.
    4. Negotiating and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to obtain the necessary resources.

Preferred / Desired Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • PMP Certification
  • 20+ years of professional experience
  • Specialized experience in Integrated Logistics and Sustainment

Travel Requirements:

  • Limited travel to the continental United States (primarily east and west coasts)
  • Possible overseas travel
