PROJECT MANAGER | FULL TIME | FOX THEATRE The Fox Theatre in Atlanta is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Project Manager. The Project Manager will oversee the day-to-day execution of projects from the Operations department of the Fox Theatre, including management and oversight of projects, vendors, and contractors as assigned, including for trades such as woodwork, door repair, furniture repair, housekeeping, recycling, plumbing, electrical, masonry, roofing, concrete work, and more, with the intent of honoring and preserving the Fox Theatre's historic and unique materials and history. Support the overall protection and preservation of the Fox Theatre as a National Historic Landmark, while keeping the building functional for frequent live events. Major Responsibilities:
- Oversee and direct operations projects from conception to completion, including participation in planning and budgeting phases; these include but are not limited to GBAC (Global Biorisk Advisory Council), Bit Building, and more.
- Perform administrative duties asassigned.
- Participate in the execution of Safety Committee work and directives.
- Work in coordination with the Restoration Manager toensure a quality and timely completion of assigned tasks.
- Review project deliverables and estimate costs.
- Negotiate terms of agreements, draft service agreements, and obtain permits andlicenses as needed.
- Ensure accurate budgeting and timely implementation and organization of project life cycles and completion.
- Oversee and coordinate vendors' and contractors' scope of work and progress, including monitoring compliance with building andsafety rules and regulations.
- Analyze, manage, and mitigate any associated risks.
- Prepare internal and external reports pertaining tojob status as necessary.
- Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
- Recommend and facilitate the adoption of best practices related to project management, building operations, cost savings,efficiencies, cleaning protocol, waste management and recycling, safety regulations, and more.
- Other duties as directed.
Qualifications
Required Education, Skills & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Project Management or related field.
Minimum of 3 Years Experience in a comparable position or related field.
Experience working in a historic building and familiarity with products and construction detail standards.
Ability to manage long-term capital expenditures and projects.
Conflict and crisis management.
Time and project management.
Proficient with Microsoft Suite, E-Mail, Internet Search, etc.
Effective communication skills.
Ability to plan and maintain budgets.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, & Qualifications
Project Management Certified.
Experience with Sustainable Practices (Sustainability Facility Professional, SFP).
Familiarity with the Secretary of Interior's Standards for the treatment of historic properties.
Established relationships with key vendors and contractors.
Proficiency with project management software.
Ability to adapt rapidly to sudden changes in scope or project direction.
Essential Physical Requirements:
Frequent periods during which there is continuous physical exertion required.
Must be able to traverse the building including moving between multiple floors.
Must be able to ascend/descend a ladder.
Must be able to lift materials or equipment, some of which are heavy or awkward.
Other Requirements:
Much of this position requires the employee to be physically on-site to perform their required duties. Remote work may or may not be permissible.
Off-site requirements include but are not limited to travel for education and training, site visits, meetings, and warehouse oversight.
Must be able to work extended or irregular hours including frequent evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
