Primary Function

This position's primary job function is to coordinate Contracted maintenance and major project work performed for the Chicago site and ensure that the work is carried out safely in the most cost-effective manner. The secondary function is to help with the planning, scheduling, and oversight of work performed by the Oxy Crafts personnel.

Essential Functions

  • Acts as liaison between Oxy and the contractor (Owner Representative) for contracted work.
  • Responsible for the Precision Maintenance program. This includes developing, executing and maintaining the program.
  • Responsible for developing, tracking, and communicating metrics on SAP, quality of work, and contractor safety.
  • Will actively participate or lead any root cause of equipment failure or HESS/quality incident.
  • Gathers quotes from contractors and works with Procurement on contracts.
  • Maintenance SAP CORE User.
  • Coordinates the Contractor selection process.
  • Communicates resource leveraging opportunities and integrates into resource agreements.
  • Facilitates value-based decisions on repairs, getting the appropriate people involved as needed.
  • Will be planning, scheduling, and provide oversight of work completed in the field.
  • Conducts quarterly contractor safety meetings.
  • Leads the annual Contractor Review process.
  • Supports and participates on teams or in programs to continuously improve plant operations. Teamwork is an essential competency.
  • Employee may perform other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
  • Actively support plant and corporate HESS safety programs, objectives, and expectations.
  • Follows the OxyChem Company Values.

Education/Certification Requirements

Pre-employment Requirement

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 5 years of Construction Management or equivalent work history.

Additional Desired Qualifications

  • Construction Management or Engineering degree
  • Any Oxy or Governmental training and/or licensing necessary to conduct this role.
The salary range for this position is:$ 37 - $ 51 Hourly

*Candidates having qualifications that exceed the minimum job requirements may receive consideration for higher-level role given (1) their experience, (2) additional job requirements, and/or (3) business needs.
