Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Vice President Cash Management, Commercial and Institutional Sales to lead efforts across commercial, institutional, and municipal sectors, with a strong focus on expanding our presence in Connecticut. This role is responsible for independently identifying and cultivating new deposit relationships, as well as deepening existing ones, through the direct sale of deposit and cash management solutions. The ideal candidate will have progressive banking experience, a proven track record in business development, and strong financial acumen. This position requires a strategic thinker with excellent relationship management skills, the ability to navigate complex organizations, and a passion for delivering exceptional client service. Active community engagement and cross-functional collaboration are key to success in this high-impact role. This is a hybrid opportunity, based in Holyoke, MA, significant travel to business locations as well as branches are a significant portion of the work week.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Proactively source and cultivate new municipal, commercial, and institutional deposit relationships to drive growth across the Bank's expanding footprint, with a focus on Connecticut.
  • Lead the end-to-end sales process for cash management and deposit solutions-independently or in collaboration with the Commercial Lending team-tailored to meet the unique needs of each client.
  • Maintain deep expertise in the Bank's full suite of products, services, and regulatory requirements to ensure informed and compliant client interactions.
  • Identify cross-sell opportunities and seamlessly connect clients with internal partners across Retail Banking, Private Banking & Wealth, and Lending.
  • Conduct in-depth client needs assessments and profitability analyses; contribute to the development of compelling responses to RFPs.
  • Deliver persuasive, customized sales presentations and service proposals to prospective and existing clients.
  • Oversee the onboarding process, ensuring accurate documentation and coordination with internal teams for smooth account openings and product implementation.
  • Partner with the Cash Management support team to manage installations, provide client training, and ensure a seamless transition and high satisfaction post-sale.
  • Champion a client-first approach by delivering exceptional service and ongoing support that exceeds expectations.
  • Collaborate with senior Cash Management leaders to identify market trends, recommend new products, and optimize pricing strategies.
  • Represent the Bank at civic and community events to build brand visibility, foster relationships, and support business development efforts.
  • Complete yearly compliance training and adhere to bank policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3-5 years sales experience in business and/or municipal banking, preferred focus on Commercial Credit and Commercial Lending

Skills Required:

  • Exceptional business development, relationship management, and negotiation capabilities, with a strong track record of driving revenue growth.
  • Proven ability to build and sustain effective internal partnerships across a matrixed and dynamic organizational structure.
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to interpret and analyze financial statements to inform strategic decisions.
  • Skilled in interpreting, organizing, and executing complex assignments that support strategic business objectives.

Computer/Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in MS Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
