We invite you to join our dynamic Regional Business Centre (RBC) team in the Americas as a Principal Consulting Engineer! Based in the Northeast region, you'll play a key role in achieving our IP product revenue goals, collaborating closely with Business Development, Sales, Product Management, and Marketing teams. This exciting position offers the opportunity to leverage your expertise in consultative selling, competitive intelligence, and business consulting to drive Nokia's portfolio adoption. You will act as a technical advisor, support RFP responses and demos, contribute to commercial strategy and product positioning, and present at conferences. This senior role offers significant influence, allowing you to independently develop concepts, solve complex problems, and lead teams, while acting as a subject matter expert across multiple organizational units.   • Customer and Market IP technical advisor
  • RFP responses support
  • Small IP technology customer demos, including hands-on sessions with Nokia SROS and SRL CLI access

  • Independently develops concepts to set the professional direction of own organizational unit.
  • Solves highly complex or novel problems based on sophisticated analytical thought and complex judgment.

  • Acts as a senior subject matter expert, typically at a global or regional level, in many organisational units the most senior internal expert who serves as best practice / quality resource and is an acknowledged authority both within and outside own organizational unit.
  • Often leads functional teams or projects with considerable resource requirements, risk, and complexity, handles day-to-day staff management issues, including resource management and allocation of work.



You have:



  • Must have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Technology or a related field
  • 7 years of related work experience, of which 5 years is post-bachelor's progressive related work experience
  • MPLS, routing platforms, including CORE, Service Edge, Aggregation, and Access.
  • Broadband Network Gateway (BNG) and Wifi Gateway (WLAN-GW)
  • Application Assurance solutions. Familiar with Packet Core Solutions: 3G, 4G and 5G; Fixed-Wireless Access (FWA) and Fixed and Mobile Convergence (FMC).
  • Ethernet switching and L2 technologies: Standard loop avoidance mechanism and EVPN; and Telemetry and Yang models (proprietary and standards).
  • Automation, scripting, virtualization, Kubernetes, Docker
