Associates are eligible to apply for a transfer after completion of one (1) year of service in their present position, with the following exception: an Associate who has received a written warning is not eligible for a transfer/promotion prior to six (6) months from date of issuance; an Associate who has been suspended is not eligible for transfer/promotion prior to one (1) year from date of suspension. Probationary period is four (4) months for full-time employees, and six (6) months for part-time employees.

Overview:

Under the supervision and direction of the Anesthesiology Site Director at the Hutch and the Director of Pre Admission Testing, the NP will conduct comprehensive anesthesia pre-op assessments of patients admitted to the Hutch ASC, including physical examinations, diagnostic tests, and medical histories; develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, considering the unique needs and preferences of each patient and family; collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including proceduralists, anesthesiologists, nurse anesthetists, and nurses, to coordinate and facilitate the continuum of care in for patients from admission to discharge. Will provide pre-op assessments either in person for day of procedures or prior to procedure day via televisits. Will support coverage of PACU. Will participate in quality improvement initiatives, research projects, and professional development activities to enhance clinical practice and contribute to the advancement of care.

Requirements:

• Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Current license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of New York.
• Board certification as Nurse Practitioner (CPNP)
• Minimum of 2-3 years of clinical experience
• BLS and PALS certifications required

• Experience with surgeries and procedures of various subspecialties

• Proficiency in using electronic health records and other healthcare technology systems.
