Daikin Applied is seeking a talented and eager Quality Technician II. This role ensures the quality of industrial processes, materials, and products. Under general supervision, the position will be responsible for inspecting, training, directing repairs, and maintaining quality levels. Location: Onsite, Staunton VA

Shift: 2nd shift, 2pm-10pm

What you will do:



  • Understand and adhere to company Quality Control procedures, as related to overall inspection requirements
  • Cooperate with production personnel and supervision to ensure the maximum of production with the optimum of quality, as established by management
  • Inspect incoming, in-process, and outgoing material, parts, and assemblies to specifications and blueprints following standard shop practice and/or special instructions.
  • Train other employees in day-to-day procedures
  • Utilize quality tools such as Fishbone Diagram, 3 Legged 5 Why, and 8D methodology
  • Support and participate in the quality clinic activities
  • Determine controls necessary to maintain consistent quality level
  • Dispose of rejected material
  • Direct repairs and deviated corrections as required
  • Generate inspection reports and analysis
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:



  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 2 or more years of experience in Quality Assurance, Manufacturing/Operations or related field
  • Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Vocational or Technical degree in Quality Assurance or related field
  • Welding Experience
  • Familiar with ASME standards
