Aon is seeking a strategic, forward-thinking leader to serve as the National Practice Leader for the Structured Credit and Political Risk Group. This high impact role offers the opportunity to drive innovation, lead a national broking strategy, and modernize solutions using data and analytics.

This is a hybrid role that requires working onsite for 2-3 days a week from any of Aon's US offices.

What the day will look like

This Leader will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the broking strategy that drives value for clients while leading the industry with innovation and thought leadership.

  • Develop a coordinated broking organization leveraging data and analytics.
  • Enhance client solutions and modernize submission and quote processes.
  • Match clients' risk and capital solutions distinctively.
  • Manage carrier relationships to increase value from trading partners.
  • Oversee the National Structured Credit and Political Risk Practice.
  • Execute the broking talent strategy and ensure compliance and collaboration.
  • Manage the Structured Credit and Political Risk team.
  • Promote diverse teams through effective staffing and development opportunities.
  • Lead market relationship efforts and serve as an expert on market trends.
  • Collaborate with U.S. Broking Office Leaders and Account Executives.
  • Design solutions to meet clients' needs and negotiate favorable terms.
  • Champion initiatives like Aon Carrier Link and Aon Optimizer.
  • Contribute to the growth of Aon's National Structured Credit and Political Risk Portfolio.
  • Support sales campaigns and drive client-centric broking strategies.
  • Align with wider Product Specialty teams and initiatives.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Minimum 15 years negotiating Trade Credit, Structured Credit and/or Political Risk placements.
  • Demonstrable record of being a 'Highly Engaged Leader' at Aon or similar organization.
  • Growth-oriented individual contributor.
  • Solid Carrier Relations in the Structured Credit and Political Risk Market.
  • Comfort learning and using new systems and applications.
  • Ability to understand, analyze and apply data and analytics.
  • Promote innovation in broking strategies.
  • Experience handling difficult client conversations.
  • Current insurance license or ability to quickly acquire insurance producer's license in all applicable states.

Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of industry experience.

  • A Property and Casualty Brokers License is required, or must be obtained within 120 days of hire if not already active

Pay Transparency Laws:

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $260,000 to $310,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.

A summary of all the benefits offered for this position:
