What you'll do:

As a Senior IT Manager overseeing the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Project Intake program, you will lead the strategic direction, implementation, and continuous improvement of enterprise-wide SDLC standards and risk-based project oversight. This role is pivotal in ensuring that technology initiatives are executed with discipline, transparency, and alignment to organizational risk tolerance and compliance frameworks.
You will partner with senior leadership, delivery teams, and risk and compliance stakeholders to embed governance controls, assess project health, and drive maturity across the SDLC process. Your leadership will ensure that project execution is not only efficient and consistent, but also aligned with regulatory, security, and operational risk expectations.
  • Strategic Oversight of SDLC: Define, evolve, and enforce enterprise SDLC frameworks, ensuring alignment with industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and internal risk policies.
  • Risk-Based Governance: Implement and manage a risk-based approach to project oversight, prioritizing controls and reviews based on project complexity, criticality, and exposure.
  • Process Assurance & Compliance: Lead periodic audits and quality reviews of project documentation, lifecycle artifacts, and governance checkpoints to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with PMO, QA, development, cybersecurity, and business stakeholders to ensure integrated delivery and risk mitigation across all phases of the project lifecycle.
  • Metrics & Reporting: Develop and maintain dashboards and KPIs to monitor SDLC adherence, risk posture, and process improvement outcomes.
  • Continuous Improvement: Champion initiatives to streamline SDLC processes, reduce delivery friction, and enhance governance agility without compromising control integrity.
  • Mentorship & Enablement: Provide guidance and training to project managers and delivery teams on SDLC best practices, risk management principles, and governance expectations.

What you'll need:

  • 7+ years of related experience in IT--App Support, IT--Development, IT--Networking or similar field.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field required.
  • Previous leadership experience required.
  • Intermediate knowledge of general Financial Services or Banking is preferred.
  • Intermediate knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
  • Intermediate to advanced experience in managing technology teams within a specific functional area while ensuring highest quality delivery of complex products or services.
  • Intermediate to advanced experience with the execution KPIs and timelines with proven ability to analyze a variety of data and summarize findings in applicable reports or other communication mediums. Utilize data to identify areas of improvement and opportunities for growth by collaborating with business and tech leads.
  • Strong understanding of risk management frameworks (e.g., FFIEC, NIST, etc.) and their application in technology delivery.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Experience with audit processes, regulatory compliance, and IT controls.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and strategic planning skills.
  • Proficient with project management and collaboration tools (e.g., Workfront, JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Lucid Chart, ServiceNow) is a plus.
  • Advanced speaking and writing communication skills.

  • May require up to 25% travel.
