The Technical Training Center Manager, works under the guidance and leadership of the Group Director of Training & Development and is responsible for the overall success of training programs for construction and shared service support professionals. This includes developing, implementing, and overseeing technical and/or soft skill training initiatives to ensure that workers, ranging from entry-level apprentices to experienced leaders, are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs safely and effectively, adhering to industry standards and regulations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Program Development and Management: In partnership with Subject Matter Experts, Support Team Members and Training Design Specialist(s), responsible for the Design, Development, Implementation, and Management of various training programs.
- Training Needs Assessment: Conducting field and dept. meetings with supervisors and managers, to Identify skill and knowledge gaps, across the company.
- Curriculum and Material Creation: Developing and updating engaging training materials, including manuals, guides, e-learning modules, and presentations.
- Training Delivery and Facilitation: Overseeing and delivery of various training sessions, workshops, and potentially online instruction.
- Evaluation and Improvement: Evaluate training effectiveness through developed assessments, feedback, and performance metrics, making necessary modifications to ensure continuous improvement.
- Team Leadership: Managing and mentoring training staff, including instructors and support personnel.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure all training emphasizes and reinforces worksite safety, learning of safety procedures, and proper construction techniques, including adhering to OSHA requirements and compliance standards.
- Budget Management: Developing and managing training budgets, ensuring resources are used efficiently.
- Partnerships and Collaboration: Establish and maintain partnerships with company leadership, educational institutions, and external vendors to enhance training content and processes.
- Staying Current: Keeping abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in training and development to ensure training programs remain relevant and innovative.

- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify training needs, challenges, analyze information and develop effective solutions.
- Technological Proficiency: Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS), e-learning development tools, and relevant software.
Education and/or Qualifications
- Bachelors' or equivalent work experience in construction related field.
- 3+ years of experience in leadership role preferred.
- Experience with on-site field training and classroom style training is beneficial.
Physical Demands
- Frequent ability to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time;
- Frequent ability to talk and hear, both in person and by telephone;
- Frequent ability to operate standard office equipment, using hand and arm dexterity;
- Frequent ability to navigate through office environment, including periodic use of stairs or elevator
- Periodically walk, on construction projects including various terrain, including dirt, rock, asphalt, concrete, etc. in all weather conditions.
- Occasionally access trenches, using ladder and/or stairs.
- Occasionally ability to operate heavy equipment, using hand and foot dexterity; as well as 3 point access using equipment mounted stairs/ladders.
- Occasional ability to lift and carry, at least 25 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
- Work generally is performed in an office environment, although periodic visits to construction sites and asphalt manufacturing facilities is required, construction and asphalt facility visits, may expose position to general construction noise and environmental exposures, within the OSHA permissible exposure level(s)
- Noise level in the typical office work environment is quiet
