TITLE: Chassis Project Cost Engineer - Supervisor DUTIES: Develop technical variable and tooling costs for Chassis Components and systems using activity-based costing methodologies. Working with BOM (Bill of Materials), Drawings, Samples, Technical Reviews and Manufacturing processes. Support engineering and purchasing at the working levels and to executive leadership through all development phases. Analyze supplier quotes and reach agreement on appropriate ED&D. Interact with the team in Design to Cost initiatives and Benchmarking, piece cost and tooling cost. Provide technical support relative to the elements of piece cost and investment for various manufacturing processes typical for the production of Calipers, Rotors, Brake systems, Steering and Suspension Systems associated to Chassis. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree (or foreign academic equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or related and 8 years of experience in job offered or a related position. Experience must include: Working with finance and activity based costing methodologies for piece price and tooling analysis; Developing costing scenarios for budget / target setting, sourcing, benchmarking, design changes, design to target, teardown and commodity strategy activities; Working with cost methodology, cost structure, bill of material, bill of processes (optimal manufacturing) and bill of design information to deliver analytical costing reports to stakeholders; Working with the manufacturing and costing of internal components and commodities; Working with Six sigma - Black belt methodology and Lean manufacturing principles relative to Chassis and Propulsion systems; Working with CEM, CAPE, FACTON and Data acquisition and analysis tools.
