OVERVIEW: We are seeking an enthusiastic Project Manager with 8+ years of experience in Solid Waste engineering to establish client relationships, define client needs, develop winning strategies, prepare proposals, and manage the development, design and permitting of a wide range of projects related to solid waste management and environmental services. The successful applicant will be a highly motivated, resourceful, well-organized, and a cooperative producer and manager that is able to meet project goals, schedules, and budgets. This is a critical role in a very fast-growing business unit to provide design and plan production support of industrial water/wastewater and solid waste projects to treat landfills.

During Your Work Day, You Will:



  • Act as the direct point of contact in communication with clients and stakeholders.
  • Manage and coordinate the development, design and permitting of multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Prepare designs and permit applications to acquire approvals from regulatory bodies.
  • Maintain complicated schedules, develop project timelines, coordinate with subcontractors, and manage people and materials to complete jobs on schedule and within budget guidelines.
  • Assess and mitigate project risks in advance of detailed engineering efforts.
  • Prepare detailed models and technical documents to present project design/feasibility findings to stakeholders.
  • Assist the M&C business development team, including the preparation of detailed technical proposals.
  • Perform and/or check technical calculations and prepare project specifications.
  • Prepare reports, client communications, deliverables, etc. and consult with other internal partners as needed.
  • Pro-actively recognize conditions and problems of non-routine nature and develop effective solutions.
  • Mentor and grow junior staff.

  • Experience in Solid Waste Landfill liner and final cap permitting and design and leachate collection / pre-treatment systems.
  • Experience in Solid Waste Landfill Gas system design inclusive of related mechanical systems (blowers and flares).
