THIS IS FOR A FUTURE OPENING
STGi is currently seeking a Clinic Manager to provide services at our Community Based Outpatient Clinic.

JOB SUMMARY:

The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Clinic Manager, representing the interests of Veteran patients in all areas of the clinic while coordinating care with the Medical Center and key stakeholders. The Clinic Manager's primary responsibility is to manage the day-to-day operations of the clinic and to directly supervise and provide direction to all STGi staff, ensuring that professional clinical services are delivered in accordance with VA standards of care. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of clinic programs, processes, and procedures, as well as the interrelationships among various services. Additionally, the position is directly tied to Customer Service and Service Excellence program initiatives, playing a key role in supporting and enhancing the overall Veteran patient experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:



  • Supervise support staff in delivery of care to patients.





  • Lead and participate in PACT team huddles.





  • Engage and retain clinic staff to promote a positive work environment.





  • Hold regular staff meetings to ensure effective communication of critical information.





  • Ensure patient visit quality metrics align with STGi and VA standards and goals.





  • Monitor and manage staff timesheets for accuracy and compliance.





  • Order and maintain inventory of medical and administrative supplies for the clinic.





  • Support, counsel, and address issues with staff members as needed to maintain performance and morale.





  • Ensure the clinic is adequately staffed for quality care delivery and the promotion of continuity of care between the VAMC and the clinic.





  • Maintain universal precautions and infection control practices.





  • Supervise medical assistants and/or licensed practical nurses who obtain initial information from patients (i.e.: vital signs, symptoms, and complaints) through interviewing patients and reviewing records.





  • Provide smooth and timely flow of patients in accordance with the VA access standards and triage protocol.





  • Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and assist during respiratory and cardiac arrest procedures.





  • Document all pertinent patient information in their medical records and Veteran Health Information Systems and Technology Architecture (VISTA) to demonstrate quality care delivery and promote continuity of care.





  • Keep the VISTA clinic reminder tracking system current for each enrolled patient.





  • Assist in scheduling patients for initial and follow-up appointments in accordance to the VA access standards and the patient's medical necessity.





  • Keep patient informed regarding their plan of care, including lab and diagnostic test results as needed.





  • Provide health materials, resources and education to patients and their families for informational purposes according to need and learning capacity.





  • Assist the providers, as required, in ensuring all patient information on electronic encounter documentation is complete and accurate.





  • Participate in the ongoing Performance Improvement Program between its Subcontractor(s) and the VAMC.





  • Ensure that all required reports, clinical and administrative documentation is completed in an accurate, timely and complete fashion.





  • Participate in the management of day to day CBOC operations.





  • Comply with all federal, state, local, Joint Commission Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Veteran Affairs, Subcontractor safety and operational regulations, directives and standards.





  • Maintain confidentiality of all information and support patients' privacy, rights, and safety.





  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.





  • List essential functions in order of most essential to least essential.



Required Skills

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:



  • Must have exceptional diplomatic communication skills and experience in handling difficult customer situations.





  • Preferred one to three years' experience as aclinic manager in a related area of patient care i.e. Family Practice/Adult Practice/Women's Health.





  • Must be detail oriented and have the ability to multi-task.





  • Proven track record in advanced high level customer service and follow through a plus.





  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted RN license in Mississippi.





  • Retain current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association (AHA) or Military Training Network (MTN).





  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Software and computer skills including experience with electronic medical records systems.



Required Experience

REQUIRED EDUCATION:



  • Graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate State-accrediting agency. Accredited by one of the following accrediting bodies at the time the program was completed by the applicant: The accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).





  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Preferred OR Bachelor of Management in Healthcare administration preferred.



WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:



  • Moderate physical activity. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 25 pounds or standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day.





  • Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.





  • Required to respond to any medical emergency within the clinic, where a fast walk or job may be necessary to provide assistance.
