Title: Electrical Mixed Signal (IC) Design Engineer

Duration: 11+ Months

Location: Princeton, NJ 08540

Shift: 9 AM - 5:30 PM (M-F)


Description:

  • Experience in the R&D of Electro-Mechanical Medical devices with understanding of full system, including Feasibility, prototype development, and working with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in the design of mixed-signal Analog-Digital circuit design and design analysis.
  • Leads and participates in projects involving the design, fabrication, and manufacture of complex instrument subassemblies, systems, or processes.
  • Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system.
  • A self-driven professional with the highest level of integrity in the successful completion of your work.
  • Experience working with PCB CAD and Layout tools (ORCAD Capture, Mentor Graphics PADS, Pspice for Simulation, Siemens Tanner Tools)
  • Advanced organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and documentation skills.
  • Pro-active problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to work co-operatively and effectively with others to establish and maintain good working relationships.
  • Must be able to collaborate with multi-disciplinary groups and functions on-site.
  • Familiarity with general laboratory test equipment.
  • Ability to adapt and work in an FDA-regulated environment.
  • Knowledge of regulations, standards, and Directives affecting the IVD medical device industry is a plus.



Expected Skills/Attributes

  • Experience with Amplifier Design, Level Shifter Design, and Instrumentation Amplifier Design
  • Experience with Bandgap Design
  • Experience with Digital Design
  • Experience with full IC System Design, including noise, Kelvin wiring, guard banding
  • Experience with I/O ESD cell design
  • Experience with full chip and GDSII generation and verification, DRC, and LVS for submission for fabrication
  • Experience with parasitic extraction
  • Familiarity with X-FAB 350nm (XH035) and 180 nm (XH018) process a plus
  • Familiar with Tanner/Mentor/Siemens IC design tools, including Calibre, a plus
  • Experience with first silicon evaluation and bench testing



Required:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline, ideally in electrical engineering. This education is required to comprehend basic engineering principles in order to apply them to instrument design and product support tasks.


Background:

  • 10+ years' progressive work experience in a relevant technical field preferred
