As an Advanced Package Development Engineer at Nokia, you will spearhead the development of cutting-edge technologies for next-generation products, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams across multiple locations. Your role is pivotal in transforming innovative concepts into reality, as you design robust proof-of-concept test vehicles and conduct rigorous design verification testing. By leveraging your expertise in mechanical, thermal, or optical design and collaborating with suppliers, you'll contribute to the evolution of high-speed products exceeding 100Gb. Lead the development of key enabling technologies for next-generation products, focusing on innovation and performance.
- Design and engineer models and analyses for mechanical, thermal, or optical components.
- Create proof-of-concept test vehicles to validate design strategies and performance metrics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to generate solid models, drawings, and design flexibility matrices.
- Conduct Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEAs) to ensure reliability in parts and assemblies.
- Develop and implement design verification testing plans and engineering work orders for initial builds.
- Engage with suppliers to explore emerging technologies and establish specifications for sourcing components.
- Communicate effectively across diverse teams and locations to align project goals and progress.
You have:
- MS/PHD in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or Optics
- 10+ years of experience in related fields
- Proficiency in Pro/Engineer / Creo or SolidWorks
- Expertise in mechanical, thermal, or optical design
It would be nice if you also had:
- Experience with ANSYS or Zemax
- Knowledge of SQL and Agile methodologies
- Strong background in statistical analysis
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
