Location: 11800 12 Mile Road Warren, MI 48093

Inpatient/Outpatient: 70% outpatient, 30% inpatient.

Case Load: 100% Adult

Position Overview:

Henry Ford Warren Hospital is seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our dynamic Cardiac Cath Lab team. This full-time position is an excellent opportunity for an APP looking to expand their expertise in a procedural environment. The primary responsibilities will include assisting with pre- and post-procedure orders, as well as admission and transfer orders for patients undergoing cardiac catheterization procedures.

We are seeking a candidate with experience in ICU, ED, or cardiac care. While experience in these areas is preferred, new graduates will not be considered for this role. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced, procedural setting.

Schedule - 4, 10-hour shifts with rotating day off. (Full-Time, 40 hours per week)

Weekend requirement - No weekends (no holidays).

Call requirement - No.

GENERAL SUMMARY: The Specialty/Invasive Nurse Practitioner (NP) will work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. The Specialty/Invasive NP will be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, education, consultation, and care coordination as a first line provider to patients and their families. Provides inpatient and/or outpatient medical care. Works in collaboration with attending physicians, advanced practice providers, consultants, house officers, nurses, and other members of the medical care team to ensure that patient outcomes are achieved safely and efficiently. Specific procedures as per credentialing as indicated by training and experience. Works in one of the following departments: Cardiovascular Medicine, Emergency Medicine, ICU, Interventional Radiology, Nephrology, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Oncology, Orthopedics, Otolaryngology, Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, Surgery, Urgent Care, Urology. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Master's degree in nursing. CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: Current certification as a Certified Nurse Practitioner. Current State license as a Registered Nurse. Current BLS. Current ACLS/ATLS/PALS provider status as required by department.

Qualifications:

* NP - Completion of a Nurse Practitioner training program accredited by the Commission on the Collegiate of Nursing Education (CCNE) or the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC)

* PA - Completion of a Physician Assistant training program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA)

* NP - Certification by a certification body recognized by the State of Michigan

* PA - Certification by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)

Licensure and Certification

* Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of Michigan, or in process of applying (must have proof of application)

* National certification as an NP or PA (e.g., ANCC, AANP, NCCPA)

* Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification

* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

* DEA/CSL, required through credentialing.

DEA - NPs do not have controlled substance licenses, only PAs. When NPs apply, they will enter MI license number instead of controlled substance license since they won't have a CSL.

Experience

* Experience in ICU, ED, or cardiac care.
