JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

A wage payroll position is available in Auxiliary & Business Services workingina progressive, customer-oriented, team-focusedenvironmenton supporting the daily needs of a diverse information technology customer base.

Duties include, but are not limited to,

- The packaging, installation, and support of numerous software applications.

- Configuration and rollout of large bulk purchases of workstations.

- Helpdesk activities.

- Development and maintenance of technical documentation.

The successful candidate will participate in diagnosing/analyzing information technology problems and developing solutions that may include the review, evaluation, and recommendation of new hardware and software products. A basic understanding of IT related components and demonstrated knowledge of networking are preferable.

Hours will be 20 per week, Monday through Friday, between 7am - 5pm.Job is temporary for the summer/fall seasons.

BACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCES

Employment with the University will require successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
