Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit
The UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy (www.pharmacy.unc.edu) is one of six health science schools (Pharmacy, Nursing, Dentistry, Social Work, Public Health, Medicine) at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is one of the oldest health science academic programs at Chapel Hill. The School teaches approximately 600 PharmD students and 145 graduate students. Position Summary
The Division of Chemical Biology and Medicinal Chemistry ( CBMC) seeks to develop a novel alternative method on skin sensitization. This is accomplished by the integration of all publicly available data on different organisms in a set of in silico models that should reduce the animal use in estimation of skin sensitization potential of novel chemicals, extractables leachables from medical devices, etc.

The Muratov Group is seeking to fill a temporary Research Scientist position with expertise in public health, cheminformatics, computational medicinal chemistry and computational toxicology. The applicant should perform data collection, curation and integration as well as Quantitative Structure-Activity Relationship ( QSAR) analysis of pure chemicals and their mixtures
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Relevant post-Baccalaureate degree required (or foreign degree equivalent); for candidates demonstrating comparable independent research productivity, will accept a relevant Bachelor's degree (or foreign degree equivalent) and 3 or more years of relevant experience in substitution. May require terminal degree and licensure.
