StoneTurn is seeking a qualified Consultant to join our Forensic Accounting and Compliance & Monitoring practices.

Job Summary

In this role, you will be responsible for performing financial and accounting-related analyses typically performed within the investigation environment. You will add value to our team by having strong analytical skills and excellent prioritization skills. This position requires you to be a person with strong interpersonal, communication and technical skills. You will also assist in providing services to the Compliance & Monitoring practice area as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Provide consulting services to our clients as it relates to forensic accounting investigations and compliance and monitoring matters (as needed)
  • Understand and incorporate client needs and objectives into work plans and work product
  • Gather, organize, understand, analyze and summarize supporting documentation
  • Read, understand and interpret company procedures and financial statements and records
  • Perform analyses while understanding their impact to financial statements
  • Compile and analyze facts and circumstances to formulate, substantiate and critique various theories, claims or conclusions
  • Understand, develop and utilize computer models streamlining detailed and potentially complex information into clear and concise analyses
  • Develop and communicate work product, both orally and in writing to management and clients
  • Draft work product to include reports and presentations of the highest quality
  • Assist with engagement management administration, including budgeting, billing and conflict checks
  • Develop and maintain client relationships and relationships with firm executives
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with internal technology teams
  • Mentor and develop Interns

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in business, accounting, or finance
  • CPA obtained or in process/eligible
  • No prior working experience is required. 1-2 years of relevant experience within professional services is highly preferred (audit, investigation, financial analysis, valuation)
  • Strong analytical and technical skills related to accounting, finance and economics issues
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent prioritization skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) with strong understanding of logic functions within Excel (index, pivot tables, IF statements, etc.)
  • Data analytics and visualization skills are a plus (SQL, Tableau).
  • Must be flexible with work schedule and travel requirements of client service projects
  • Ability to be physically in-office three days per week

Desirable Qualifications

  • CPA certification obtained is a plus
  • Forensic certifications such as CFF, CAMS or CFE
  • Client service experience preferred, national public accounting firm (audit) experience
  • Network of relationships within law firms and corporate legal departments
  • Foreign language capabilities
  • Experience providing consulting services within the context of litigation
