Job Summary Leads the development, execution, and documentation of mold cutting strategies for new product designs within James Avery Craftsman, Inc. specifications. Fabricates and maintains molds at a master level while working with cross functional teams for mold-related needs. Supports the evaluation, adoption, and training of new mold cutting technologies, provides technical instructions to Associates, and maintains best practices and consumables inventory for the PD mold cutting work center. Contributes to the development and implementation of process improvements across teams. This is an Onsite opportunity located on our Main Campus in Kerrville, TX. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING *Leads the development and execution of mold cutting strategies for new product designs. *Responsible for training PD Techs in mold cutting tasks, technical processes, best practices and proper tool usage. Helps develop mold cutting instructional guides and manuals. *Investigates and supports the adoption of new mold cutting technologies, equipment, and techniques to improve quality, efficiency, and effectiveness. *Organizes and prioritizes mold cutting tasks to ensure efficient workflow and timely support of development timelines. *Collaborates with Technical Design, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams to ensure molds meet design intent, production capabilities, and readiness requirements. *Maintains inventory of consumables (e.g., blades, tools, and mold materials) and oversees upkeep of the PD mold cutting work center. *Contributes to continuous improvement efforts by identifying and implementing process enhancements and training opportunities. *Supports mold related equipment and operations during wax injection process. *Helps train associates in the proper intermediate techniques needed to perform daily tasks while emphasizing focus on safety, quality and productivity. *Performs additional duties and assists with other initiatives or projects as assigned. WHAT YOU WILL NEED *High School Diploma or equivalent. *4 years' experience in mold cutting, tool handling, wax model processing or similar work. *Excellent communication and organizational skills. *Ability to read and understand technical documentation, safety instructions, training materials, and process documentation. *Must be able to work flexible hours when business need requires. Preferred Qualifications *Experience in mold cutting, model making and/or model repair. *Knowledge of Product Development processes within Manufacturing. *Knowledge and understanding of company product quality standards. *Demonstrated project, time management and problem-solving skills. *Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
