Mobile Electrician - JLL

What this job involves: As a Mobile Electrician at JLL, you will be responsible for maintaining, installing, and troubleshooting all aspects of electrical infrastructure across assigned commercial facilities. This critical role ensures the efficient operation and maximum life expectancy of electrical equipment and systems while maintaining energy efficiency and safety standards. You will demonstrate technical expertise in the electrical field while supporting JLL's commitment to operational excellence and minimizing facility downtime. Your proactive approach to maintenance and repair will directly contribute to client satisfaction and facility performance optimization.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Demonstrate knowledge of electrical, instrumentation, and control building equipment and systems required to operate and maintain electrical infrastructure
  • Plan and layout work details for assembly, installation, testing, maintenance, and repair of electrical apparatus, control equipment, and wiring systems including generators, panels, switches, and transformers
  • Troubleshoot and correct faulty wiring or electrical difficulties in motors and other equipment while diagnosing and repairing electrical/instrumentation systems
  • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematic drawings to complete work assignments
  • Interact with clients and maintenance staff to determine safe, environmentally compliant approaches to project completion
  • Complete all documentation by required deadlines and accurately document work in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) in real time
  • Maintain work area and equipment in safe, efficient, and clean operating condition while strictly adhering to safety rules and regulations

Required Qualifications:

  • Valid state driver's license (must be maintained throughout employment)
  • Electrician Journeyman's and/or State License required
  • High school diploma or state equivalent
  • Minimum 4 years of electrical trade school or training equivalent with 5+ years of electrical work experience
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards and local electrical codes
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to produce clear oral and written reports
  • Physical ability to operate hand tools, work on ladders, lift heavy loads up to 80 lbs, and operate required equipment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of overall MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) system design and application
  • Experience managing work orders and utilizing CMMS technology
  • Experience working in service-related roles specific to commercial facilities
  • Ability to work in confined spaces, on rooftops, and in adverse weather conditions
  • Availability for 24-hour call-in work, on-call duties, and overtime as required
