DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will assist the Medical Records Director while ensuring the safeguarding of sensitive, private, legally-protected, and confidential information. Your responsibilities will include the careful release, distribution, and communication of data strictly in line with established protocols and only to authorized personnel. A keen eye for detail is crucial, as you will need to verify the accuracy of records and make necessary updates to patient information. Interested in learning more? - Full-time employment, 37.5 hour work week
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of clerical experience in a medical records department of a hospital, or ambulatory acute medical care setting or a licensed nursing facility, which has included six months of experience under the general direction or oversight by a registered Medical Records Technician or Administrator; and graduation from high school; or
- Graduation from a medical secretarial or medical records program; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
