Summary of Job Duties:Analysis, programming (report writing and system customization), production support, and system implementation for the integration of medical equipment with IT Clinical Systems. Primary focus may include interfacing medical equipment that produce test results, physiological, and diagnostic images, system administration support of electronic medical record systems - both ambulatory and acute care, support for Radiology systems, and/or other clinical systems. Will work closely with UAMS Information Technology department to coordinate all medical equipment interfacing with the main LAN system. Maintains servers and supports monitoring clinical network. Maintains records, makes reports, and coordinates outside repairs. Under supervision of the Biomedical Engineering Manager. Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Engineering Technology or related field plus 6 years work experience with supporting and maintaining computer systems.

OR

  • High School diploma plus 10 years related equivalent combination of experience and education. Support experience must include 3 of the following: end user support, report writing, system administration, network administration, database administration, system configuration, system upgrades and project management of upgrades. 5 years of experience with MS Office: Word, Excel, Power Point, and Access.
  • Healthcare, networking, and project management experience preferred. Microsoft.Net MS SQL or Oracle experience desirable. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
