• This role may include support of an aggressive closing schedule and on the 1st working day of each month requires an extended work shift. The target completion is 10pm
• This role is split 50/50 between General Accounting responsibilities and Process Improvement/Automation.

• Understand, execute and lead processes related to GRIR and Abandoned Property, ensuring compliance with all reporting deadlines and ensuring no penalties are assessed on Cemex.
• Post Journal entries and complete account reconciliations for the General Accounting Team
• Perform account analysis with an analytical mindset and provide reporting as requested by management
• Lead process improvement and automation initiatives across various areas of the Management Financial
• Services team, including but not limited to standardization and automation of account reconciliations
• Lead Process Improvement projects utilizing Six Sigma methodologies
• Design automation or process improvement solutions following an Agile Methodology.
• Manage multiple projects at any given time.
• Learn and utilize new technologies and tools and collaborate with others to automate and improve processes
• Ensure accounts managed comply with IFRS and that processes, including automated solutions have proper controls and result in compliance with IFRS
• Participate heavily in monthly close process by executing processes, allocations, intercompany balancing
• and reviewing and reporting analytical movements and significant transactions and ensuring integrity of transactions and data in SAP
• Prepare schedules for bi-annual Stewardship Review process as part of CEMEX Internal Control framework
• Support internal and external audits
• Ensure compliance with all deliverable due dates and timelines
• Bring new and innovative ideas and solutions to Management Financial Services team
• Work independently on coding using robotics and other automation solutions

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

• Computer Literacy

Advanced Spread Sheet (Excel) skills.

SAP (ERP) Skills

Proficient in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.

• Excellent communication and organization skills.

• Ability to work with standard office/computer Equipment
• Capable of working in an open office environment

Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
