Are you an experienced tax professional looking for a year-round opportunity with long-term growth potential? Staffmark is partnering with a respected, multi-state tax firm specializing in current and back tax filings, tax resolution, and personalized financial guidance. We're looking for a skilled and dependable Tax Preparer who is committed to accuracy, excellent client service, and mentoring team members.

Pay: $24-$30/hr (Depending on experience.)

Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Responsibilities:



  • Prepare accurate federal and state tax returns (1040, 1120, 1065) for individuals and small businesses
  • Review returns completed by other preparers for accuracy and compliance
  • Identify eligible deductions, credits, and tax-saving strategies
  • Ensure all client documentation is thorough and accurate
  • E-file returns and manage any post-submission follow-ups
  • Maintain clear, professional communication with clients
  • Work closely with CPAs and admin staff to maintain an efficient workflow
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior team members
  • Contribute to process improvements for better client service
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold the highest professional standards



Qualifications:



  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in tax preparation
  • Proficient in preparing and reviewing 1040, 1120, and 1065 returns
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. tax laws, filing procedures, and compliance
  • Skilled in Drake Software (or similar tax platforms)
  • Active PTIN and CTEC registration (or willingness to obtain)
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
  • Prior experience with tax resolution and back tax filings is a plus
  • Excellent communication, organization, and leadership abilities
  • Passion for mentoring and potential to grow into a supervisory role
