Your role

As a Sourcing Manager at Aircel, you will be at the forefront of transforming our procurement, supply, and logistics operations. Your mission is to drive efficiency, innovation, and sustainability in the supply chain by managing the entire process, from the initial sourcing of materials to the timely delivery of finished products to our customers. You will play a pivotal role in refining our supply chain strategies to ensure operations are not only cost-effective but also resilient against market fluctuations and external disruptions. By joining our team, you will lead a dedicated group of three in Warehouse and Purchasing, working closely and reporting to the Operations Manager.

In this role, your key responsibilities will include:



  • Managing procurement activities to ensure the timely and cost-effective sourcing of necessary materials.
  • Negotiating contracts with suppliers, which includes setting costs, quantities, delivery schedules, terms of service, and quality standards.
  • Overseeing demand forecasting, inventory management, and production planning to achieve specific targets regarding quality, savings, and inventory turnover.
  • Coordinating warehousing, distribution, and the logistics of transporting materials to ensure smooth operations and efficient storage capabilities.
  • Implementing effective inventory optimization strategies to enhance the operational efficiency of the company.

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Sourcing or Purchasing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with SouthWare or SAP ERP systems is advantageous.
  • Strong skills in negotiation, presentation, communication, and vendor management.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
  • High attention to detail, along with time-management and organizational proficiencies.
  • A self-motivated attitude, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • A commitment to team collaboration and a willingness to travel as needed.
