Your responsibilities

SUMMARY: The global key account manager is the lead contact with Ford and GM to develop our business for Springs & Stabilizers bars. The global key account manager is required to interface between the customer, local account managers, the management and development teams. The employee must be self-directive, pro-active, have technical knowledge of suspension systems (or ability to learn), networking capabilities and to work in a team environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Key contact with Ford and GM globally.
  • Develop and execute customer-specific strategic sales plan and forecasts in line with organizational goals and objectives, in collaboration with the other OEM Key Account Managers and OU Customer Business Units.
  • Definition and implementation of customer specific growth strategies by consulting all involved parties about pricing strategy, communication and relationship building.
  • Report business analysis, market trends and proactively act upon information by rapidly adapting the sales strategy
  • Establish and maintain business relations at technical and commercial levels (towards clients and internal)
  • Enhance existing business relations and extension of network proactively

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Engineering, preferably Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics or equivalent field with over 10 years' experience in sales/engineering in the automotive industry or similar industry with an understanding of competition, product positioning, target markets and proven success in developing long term customer relationships. A proven track record showing close business ties with US located OEM's and familiar with their internal processes. Technical knowledge of the suspension system is preferred. Candidate must have strong motivational, negotiation and persuasive skills. In addition, the candidate must have expert skills in analytical thinking, networking, and strategizing. It is also essential that the candidate be pro-active and self-confident.


Your profile

Computer and Technology Skills:

Use of Microsoft Office Suites software in a windows operating system. Use of Lotus Notes, Q-Das Statistical software and SAP integrated business software is a plus.

Language Skills:

Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets common scientific and technical literature financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquires or complaints from customer, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform prescribe style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management. Ability to speak, write and communicate in Spanish is a plus, but not a requirement.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to financial applications. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages. Ability to create read and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
