Location:

Oklahoma City, OK (Fill Plant) - Filling industrial How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW? As a Production Operator/Relief Driver, you will fill high pressure cylinders (Industrial, Medical and Mixes) following compression temperature / pressure method. Serve as a relief driver when the primary driver is unavailable. Drive a loaded truck with compressed gas cylinders, liquid cylinders and hard goods to deliver to Branches and or customers on scheduled route.

Position Title: PRODUCTION OPERATOR/RELIEF DRIVER
Location: OKC, OK

In particular, you will:

  • You will be filling high pressure cylinders (Industrial, Medical and Mixes) following compression temperature / pressure method.

  • Operate and safely maintain equipment for pumping or repackaging gases into cylinders.

  • Perform all required pre-fill and post-fill inspections and tests before cylinders are released.

  • Ensure cylinders are adequately maintained - cylinders requiring maintenance or repair are removed from service until corrected.

  • Regularly inspect and maintain pumping apparatus and associated pressure gauges and monitoring devices.

  • Fill cylinders or containers to proper pressure or weight, whichever is appropriate.

  • Ensure cylinder filling records are accurately maintained and that all required procedures are followed in order to comply with local, state and federal regulations.

  • Assist with loading and unloading trucks and/or trailers when required.

  • Assist with inventory, general housekeeping, and help customers when necessary.

  • Records deliveries and pick-ups on a load manifest.

  • Loads/unloads trucks.

  • Performs pre and post trip vehicle inspections, documenting deficiencies utilizing Airgas forms and ensures all safety items are in good working order.

  • When not driving, this person will perform plant functions.

  • Other duties may be assigned.

  • Class A license with HazMat and Air Brakes endorsements.

  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).

  • Current Medical Examiner's Card.

  • At least two years of experience driving a commercial vehicle.

  • Ability to perform work during prolonged standing up to 8 hours; frequent bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, grasping, feeling and repetitive motion also required.

  • Ability to perform very heavy work - routinely lifts 25 - 75 lbs., and occasionally lifts 76 to greater than 100 lbs.

  • Ability to perform work during occasional climbing, balancing, kneeling, crawling, pushing, pulling and finger activities.

  • Ability to read and comprehend Safety Data Sheets (SDS).

  • Must be able to work overtime as needed.
