JOB TITLE: Lead Phlebotomist

DEPT: Laboratory

LOCATION: Maury Regional Medical Center - Columbia, TN

SHIFT: Full Time. Monday - Thursday, 1pm - 10:30pm

JOB SUMMARY:

Provide direction, support, and guidance to phlebotomists, ensuring high quality patient care and accurate specimen collection. Monitor and ensure adherence to safety protocols, infection control procedures and regulatory compliance. Manage staffing and schedule to ensure adequate coverage for phlebotomy services. Ensure compliance with all regulatory guidelines, including OSHA, HIPAA, and CLIA regulations. Maintain an organized and safe working environment, ensuring that equipment is in good working order and that the lab area is clean and sanitized. Assist with the training and onboarding of new phlebotomy staff. Address any operational issues, patient concerns, or conflicts that may arise. Collaborate with other departments to ensure the smooth operation of the laboratory.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

* High School Diploma or Equivalent Required

* Completion of an Accredited Phlebotomy Technician Program Required

* 3 Years of Phlebotomy Experience Required

      * Certification as a Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) Through a Recognized Body (e.g., ASCP, NHA, or AAPC) Required
