Data Center Portfolio Manager

Danfoss Climate Solutions (DCS) is hiring three Regional Portfolio Manager for Data Centers. This strategic role focuses on identifying, evaluating, and managing data center offerings in the form of products, systems, and services. This role involves identifying and aligning portfolio needs with the overall business strategy and influencing resource allocation to ensure we move fast. They have a deep understanding of the market to identify risks and opportunities, and drive innovation to expand Danfoss' portfolio within the data center space

Supported by Global Solutions Experts, Systems Engineers, and Simulation Experts, this function works in close collaboration with the Data Center Sales team together with customers and end-users to identify opportunities and gaps in our end-to-end solution approach.

All regional positions report directly to the Head of Data Center Solutions in Danfoss Climate Solutions, Solutions & Technology.

* Portfolio Optimization:
Analyzing the portfolio, identifying opportunities for growth, consolidation, or divestment, and making recommendations to maximize value. Close cooperation with our regional sales teams to get a one Danfoss approach towards the Data Center market.
* Product Lifecycle Management:
Overseeing the entire lifecycle of data center products, from ideation to retirement, including new product development, enhancements, and end-of-life planning with related product managers in our Business Units.
* Strategic Alignment:
Ensuring the data center system & product portfolio aligns with the company's overall business strategy and goals.
* Ressource Allocation:
Supporting indirectly across the portfolio to ensure optimal allocation and efficient execution via the matrix organization within Danfoss Climate Solutions.
* Risk Management:
Identifying and recommending mitigation associated with the portfolio, such as market shifts, or regulatory changes.
* Performance Analysis:
Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the health and performance of the portfolio, identifying areas for improvement.
* Innovation and Market Analysis:
Staying abreast of market trends, competitive landscape, and customers' need to identify application and system-driven opportunities for innovation and growth.
* Cross-functional Collaboration:
Working closely with various teams in their own organization and business units (product management, engineering, sales, etc.) to ensure alignment and successful solution delivery.
* Stakeholder Management:
Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, especially regional teams, marketing, and sales.
* Communication:
Establishing and enforcing consistent communication standards across the portfolio, keeping stakeholders informed of progress and performance.

The ideal candidate will have these skill sets.

* Business Acumen:
Understanding of business strategy, financial ecosystems in a company, and market dynamics.
* Strategic Thinking:
Ability to develop and execute strategic plans for the data center portfolio in cooperation with other regional managers following the lead of the Head of Data Center Solutions.
* Technical Knowledge:
Deep understanding of data center Cooling and other infrastructure, including hardware, software, services and IT infrastructure to allow an end-to-end portfolio view. Having the willingness to continue learning to improve application and market knowledge.

* Analytical Skills:
Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
* Communication and Collaboration:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with various teams and stakeholders. English is a must; other languages are an additional advantage.
* Leadership:
The ability to lead and motivate cross functional regional teams in a matrix is a must to drive results and manage a portfolio.

In essence, the System & Product Portfolio Manager for Data Centers acts as a regional leader, ensuring the data center portfolio delivers maximum value to the business in the region and globally by aligning with strategy, optimizing resources, and driving innovation.

Salary Range Disclaimer: The base salary range represents the low and high end of the range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. The range for this position is $120,000 to $150,000.
