Position Overview

The Director, Commercial Effectiveness is accountable for the vision, execution, and oversight of the Sales Enablement, Commercial Data Quality & CRM applications, and Sales Force Effectiveness teams across Commercial, achieved by coordinating the crucial alignment between systems development, sales tools utilization, and sales force execution. This role will work closely with the Vice President, Business Operations, Vice President of Screening Strategy and Analytics, and sales leadership to ensure we are monitoring and enhancing value to both our internal and external stakeholders. The Director is also expected to work with cross-functional stakeholders, ensuring appropriate coordination and communication to drive towards the success of the goals within our commercial business units. The position location is Madison, WI and the individual in this role is expected to travel to commercial meetings as needed.

Essential Duties

Include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Lead the acceleration of key Commercial priorities, including driving business requirements gathering, supporting or owning workstreams, and escalating risks as needed.

  • Lead the preparation, consolidation, and communication of commercial execution performance to key internal stakeholders to include, but not limited to, Sales leadership, Executive Leadership Team, Commercial Leadership Team, and Business Unit Leadership.

  • Oversee the execution and long-term strategy of our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform across the organization.

  • Responsible for the implementation, accuracy, and deployment of sales targeting.

  • Ensure the appropriate data analytics support and sharing across relevant stakeholders.

  • Maximize commercial effectiveness via data analysis and information management and hold organization accountable to data governance standards.

  • Lead enterprise prioritization and operational excellence around our customer interface program.

  • Anticipate market trends and oversee the infrastructure for scalable growth.

  • Monitor and report the performance of priority commercial initiatives - support the process of prioritization; ensure appropriate periodic reporting and decision-making with regards to these projects.

  • Develop functional key performance indicators (KPIs) and hold team accountable.

  • Effectively manage, support, and guide your team, including, but not limited to, delegating tasks and responsibilities, assessing employee performance, and providing training opportunities.

  • Consistent demonstration of exceptional leadership qualities, including, but not limited to, the ability to attract and retain the best team, foster a culture of high performance; lead with integrity, humility, accountability, and courage; and set a clear vision to energize teams towards the future.

  • Ability to travel 25% of working time away from work location; may include overnight/weekend travel.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field as outlined in essential duties.

  • 12+ years of experience in Medical Technology or similar industries.

  • 5+ years leading people and/or projects.

  • Demonstrated success directly leading and coordinating business initiatives through strong project management, influence, and team leadership skills.

  • Advanced capability with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.

  • Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.

  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration or field as outlined in essential duties.

Salary Range:

$167,000.00 - $284,000.00

The annual base salary shown is for this position located in 5505 Endeavor Lane on a full-time basis and may differ by hiring location. In addition, this position is bonus eligible, and is eligible to be considered for company stock at hire and on an annual basis.
