Barnes Aerospace is seeking a dynamic Commercial Director of OEM group to join its Sales & Commercial team. The right candidate will work and partner with Barnes Aerospace's sales ops, commercial, operations, and finance teams across 15 businesses globally to drive deal process, structure, and analytics for major OEM customers. The role will require close coordination and partnership with Barnes Aerospace's matrixed environment to provide the "drumbeat" of the sales & commercial processes. Post-deal wins, the role will be responsible for data analytics on contract profitability, commercial management processes and driving commercial initiatives. Core Responsibilities:



  • Own commercial management strategy for major OEM customers to achieve each site's business objectives for sustainable and profitable growth.
  • Develop business case and provide support analysis/data as required to gain internal approval of OEM bids, master term agreements & long term agreements.
  • Partner with sales, general management, and legal teams to negotiate customer agreements that ensure contract profitability, terms and conditions are aligned with leadership approvals throughout the commercial excellence process.
  • Own product portfolio / capability strategy for OEM customers (across sectors and end markets) to address customer needs leveraging existing/new Barnes Aerospace's capabilities.
  • Support prospecting and business development activities through definition of compelling offerings, value proposition, and marketing materials. Build proposals from standard templates and modify to address any unique caveats and terms with Legal support.
  • Mentor customer service and senior management on how to respond to any complex or urgent customer service and / or contractual issues. Review customer communications to ensure we are working within our contracts and look to spot opportunities for commercially improved positions.
  • Evaluate profitability of active contracts across major OEM customers. Work together with engineering, operations and supply chain to develop a commercial strategy to address these issues with customer and the sites.



Qualifications:



  • 5 years of commercial/contract management experience in aerospace engine manufacturing.
  • Strong data analytics and ability to convert analysis into actions & recommendations.
  • Ability to work across matrixed environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently.
  • Ability to use technology effectively and efficiently to manage workload in a remote environment.
  • Advanced knowledge in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint especially) and knowledge of Salesforce would be beneficial.
  • A valid US Passport or legal permanent residency in the US.
  • Up to 50% travel required.



Education Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree in finance, engineering, or business preferred or 10+ years of experience.
