The position will be responsible for attracting prospective students to Miller College of Business, developing strategic partnerships with high schools, facilitating student internship experiences, and teaching undergraduate students. The Associate Director reports to the Assistant Dean of Student Outcomes.

What you'll do and what you'll bring:

Position Function:

The Associate Director of Student Engagement and Outreach formulates and implements strategies to recruit, retain, and guide students in the Miller College of Business to academic success. The position is responsible for attracting prospective students to Miller College of Business, developing strategic partnerships with high schools, coordinating internship opportunities and placements, and teaching undergraduate students. The Associate Director reports to the Assistant Dean of Student Outcomes.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a strategy for attracting prospective undergraduate students to Miller College of Business; Represent Miller College at external college and/or career fairs.
  • Serve as the liaison between Miller College and high school students and their families, creating a seamless transition from prospective student to matriculation.
  • Develop partnerships between Miller College and high school leadership that create pipelines for new student matriculation.
  • Coordinate the College internship process; identify suitable internship placements and maintain relationships with internship employers.
  • Serve as an instructor for undergraduate students in Miller College of Business; teach high school dual credit courses if applicable.
  • Serve as a liaison between Miller College, Office of Undergraduate Admissions, and other Colleges/departments at Ball State; Coordinate the Miller College presence at internal/external events.
  • Formulate and implement summer programming for prospective students; Assist with orientation and summer programming.
  • Participate in programming related to student engagement and student retention.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education:

Master's degree in Business or related field by date of appointment.

Minimum Experience:

Three years of experience in curricular or educational assessment, recruitment or admissions, student support, and/or program monitoring/quality improvement.

Other:

Excellent organization and time management skills; Passion for student success and retention; Strong in communication and customer service; Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends and willingness to travel.

Preferred Qualifications:
Education:

Terminal degree in business or related field.

Preferred Experience:

Five years of experience in higher education, business, and/or related field; Experience in undergraduate recruitment or admissions; Experience in college student success; Experience teaching college-level classes in business.
