Maintenance Planner

Key Responsibilities:



  • Develop and maintain preventive and predictive maintenance schedules for all critical equipment.
  • Plan and coordinate maintenance activities, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Analyze equipment performance data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Create detailed job plans including labor, materials, tools, and safety procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, and equipment history.
  • Collaborate with procurement to ensure timely availability of spare parts and materials.
  • Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives & read across opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
  • Utilize TMS (Total Maintenance System) to manage maintenance workflows and shape maintenance activities to reduce breakdowns and preserve assets.

Basic Qualifications:



  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3+ years of experience in maintenance planning or a similar role in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Ability to work any shift and overtime as required
  • Strong knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance techniques.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent organization, written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interface with various levels of employees within all areas of the Plant from hourly represented employees to Senior Leadership as required
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Goal oriented self-starter with ability to lead teams
  • Must have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field
  • 2 or more years' experience in supervision in a high-volume environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach/mentor/develop team members
  • Previous experience working in a union environment
  • Experience in continuous improvement systems and lean manufacturing
