This position will work a hybrid schedule which includes a combination of working both onsite on campus and remote.

DESCRIPTION

Under supervision, the SRA-I supports the research efforts for the Neural Engineering and Translation Labs within the Department of Psychiatry. The incumbent will assist the research team completing the Investigating Mechanisms of Intra- and Inter-individual Pain Variability in Patients with Comorbid Chronic Pain and Depression study. Duties and responsibilities include assistance with updates, maintenance, and coordination of several databases, assistance with eligibility screening of potential subjects, administration of structured clinical interviews, administering experimental protocols involving the collection of symptom, EEG, and behavioral data, assisting with preparing summaries for institutional review board and funding agency progress reports. Perform other duties as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Theoretical knowledge of psychiatry, psychology, or related field.

  • Proficiency in using database software including Microsoft Office (Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint). Familiarity with using iPads and apps.

  • Experience performing research duties in a clinical research environment and coordinating research studies. Experience with following a research protocol in order to initiate study procedures, and collect data.

  • Experience with collecting sensitive information and communicating effectively while maintaining confidentiality.

  • Experience administering computerized and paper assessments and self-report questionnaires.

  • Proven effective interpersonal skill and oral/written communication skill, including the ability to administer face-to-face experimental protocols and keep accurate and detailed records.

  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality.

  • Excellent planning and organizational skills and ability to work in a changing, multiple-demand setting in order to prioritize a large volume of work and meet deadlines efficiently and accurately.

  • Proven ability to work with minimal direction and work collaboratively with the research team and investigators.

  • Skills to organize and prioritize workload.

  • Ability to assist with administering clinical symptom surveys, screening interviews, and structured diagnosed psychiatric interviews.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in psychology or social sciences.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.

  • Must be able to work overtime, weekends, and evenings if needed.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $55,374 - $66,064 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $26.52 - $31.64

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
