Job Description

About The Role

Lead and/or support the strategic direction, development, and lifecycle management of Medical flexible products globally. Work closely with regional product management teams to provide solutions for their regions' market needs by leveraging other regions' products. Support in defining regional market opportunities to justify new capabilities investments. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, sales, marketing, operations, and supply chain to deliver solutions that meet market needs and drive customer and business growth. You will ensure alignment between global product strategies and regional market requirements while championing product offerings. Ensure the company leverages enterprise technology, strategy, and customer relationships to accelerate global growth. Support development of adjacent customers, markets and geographies.

Key Job Accountabilities

  • Product Strategy & Development:
    • Define and implement the global product strategy for flexible packaging solutions, focusing on platform products that create value for customers.
    • Partner in product roadmaps (sharing existing and creating new), collaborating with functions develop and continuously improve products.
    • Identify new product opportunities based on market trends, customer feedback, and competitive analysis.
  • Global Market Coordination:
    • Collaborate with regional product managers, sales, and marketing teams to ensure that global product strategies are aligned with local market needs.
    • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of global market dynamics, customer preferences, and regulatory requirements to ensure product success across regions (in conjunction with global market manager).
    • Support global collaboration in implementing and progressing strategic business targets.
  • Product Lifecycle Management:
    • Oversee the full product lifecycle, from initial concept through development, commercialization, and post-launch support.
    • Manage product costings, pricing strategies, and profitability for global flexible packaging products.
  • Customer & Market Insights:
    • Conduct research and engage with customers to gather insights into product performance and market demand.
    • Develop an understanding of the market structure in each region (size, growth, trends, value chain, prospects, competitors, market share).
    • Act as the voice of the customer in all product development initiatives, ensuring products meet customer needs and deliver value.
    • Support strong relationships with prominent regional and global accounts and allied suppliers to identify opportunities in coordination with Regional and Global Sales Leaders. Ensures resource alignment in balancing region and global relationships and initiatives
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:
    • Work with the marketing team to develop go-to-market strategies and promotional materials for new product launches.
    • Collaborate with regional product managagment and marketing teams and provide them with the necessary tools and product knowledge to successfully sell flexible packaging solutions.
  • Sustainability Focus:
    • Lead initiatives to integrate sustainable practices into the product development process and ensure that products meet global sustainability goals and certifications.
  • Performance Monitoring:
    • Monitor product performance post-launch, identifying areas for improvement and optimizing product offerings based on customer feedback and performance data.
    • Provide periodic and ad hoc reports and forecasts on performance against plan
  • Pricing:
    • Manage global pricing strategies with global products

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Packaging, or a related field. A Master's degree or MBA is a plus.
  • 7+ years of product management experience in the packaging industry, ideally with a focus on flexible packaging.
  • Experience managing a global product portfolio, with a track record of successful product launches and lifecycle management.
  • Understanding of packaging technologies, materials, and trends in sustainability a plus.
  • B2B relationship management or marketing management
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally
  • Demonstrated Sales and OP growth
  • Ability to understand production capabilities to meet market needs
  • Knowledge of global product portfolio

CompensationThe starting salary for this position is expected to be between $176100 to $220100; however, base pay offered may vary within the full salary range $176100 to $264100 depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base pay information is based on national averages and a geographic differential may be applied based on work location. Position may also be eligible for Amcor's Management Incentive Plan / Sales Incentive Plan, which is an annual bonus program based on business and individual performance, as well as medical coverage and other health and welfare benefits.
