Job Description
IPS is hiring! We are looking for a talented Graduate Estimator to join our team to be based at our EMEA office located in Dublin or Cork, Ireland. The Graduate Estimator (the 'Graduate') will work closely with multiple disciplines within the business. The Graduate will interface with Senior Estimators, Cost Managers / Quantity Surveyors and Procurement resources within the business who together provide many of the commercial deliverables / functions associated with Client expectations. Training, mentoring and continued professional development will be managed by the senior estimator appointed to work with the Graduate. Initially the Graduate will be required to learn how to research and build a detailed estimate / cost forecast related to specific elements of a typical project cost being the HVAC and Piping Utilities (Black and Clean) that form a significant percentage of most project estimates. This is considered the 'Primary' role of the Graduate. In due course the Graduate is also expected to become adept in the estimation of other elements / disciplines related to any project such as, but not limited to, Electrical, Automation and Civil works, however in the first instance the business requires that the Graduate is to become a 'Subject Matter Expert in the Primary expertise for which this role is initially envisaged.
