National Grid is hiring a Coordinator, Maps and Records for Massachusetts. This is a Hybrid Role - Must live within a commutable distance to one of our locations

Job Purpose

To coordinate the maps and records team overseeing mapping personnel involved in the collection and input of mapping data into National Grid geographic information system applications to ensure safety and to achieve line of sight goals.

Key Accountabilities
  • Support the team leadership of mapping with training, monitoring, developing personnel, as well as other varied assigned duties in the maps and records department as required.
  • Review, approve and post maps and records projects.
  • Responsible for updating and maintaining the backlog databases daily into National Grid GIS applications to ensure timely delivery of information and safe operation of public gas facilities while meeting regulatory requirements and maximizing cost recovery returns.
  • Generate and update various reports as required to monitor performance against line of sight deliverables which include safety, KPI's and compliance metrics.
  • Maintain record retention database and prepare and process maps and records historical documents as well as others for storage as required by National Grid policy.
  • Assist supervisor of mapping in performance excellence. Ensuring the department is meeting requisite goals, identifying concerns and causes of deficiencies, and recommending and implementing improvement opportunities in maps and records.
  • Assist in the design and development of quality assurance/quality system practices and procedures in upstream gas workorder processes to drive improvement on cycle time deliverables.
  • Supervisory/Interpersonal- Experience Required
    Demonstrated supervisory skills necessary to direct, motivate, instruct and develop bargaining unit personnel in the operation and maintenance of electronic and manual mapping and information systems.
  • Possess sound interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor or master's degree in an engineering discipline.
  • Desired:5 years experience in mapping, engineering, or geographic information systems (GIS), in a supervisory or drafting capacity.

Salary - $81,000 - $95,000
