Overview

The Vice President of Operations is responsible for leading and managing the operational functions of the organization across multiple regions or business units. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective services and products, aligning operational strategies with the overall goals of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee operational teams, systems, and processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and scalability.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to define and implement long-term strategic goals and operational roadmaps.
  • Analyze market trends, customer expectations, and regulatory changes to inform operational strategies.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and change management efforts to enhance performance and service delivery.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing across departments.
  • Lead large-scale strategic projects and programs with significant organizational impact.
  • Identify and evaluate business opportunities, developing data-driven strategies to support growth and innovation.
  • Establish and manage operational priorities and performance metrics.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and vendors.
  • Conduct site visits and operational reviews to assess policy effectiveness, employee engagement, and customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee facilities planning, including site selection, design, and maintenance in collaboration with relevant teams.
  • Set direction and align team goals with corporate strategy.
  • Select and develop management personnel; oversee succession planning.
  • Collaborate with leadership on corporate initiatives and departmental strategies.
  • Manage departmental budgets and performance evaluations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience in leading and managing large-scale operations.
  • Strong understanding of operational strategy, planning, and execution.
  • Demonstrated success in change management and process improvement.
  • Extensive experience working in a matrixed organization and cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in business software including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.

Desired Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge of Navy Federal's functions, philosophy, operations and organizational objectives
  • Advanced knowledge of Navy Federal products, services, programs, policies and procedures
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Economics, Finance or related field or equivalent combination of education, training and experience

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM
