Contract Video Production Assistant
Location: Hybrid - 3 Days Onsite (Mettawa, IL) / 2 Days Work From Home

Duration: 2-Year Contract (Possible Extension)

Our global pharmaceutical client is seeking a Video Production Assistant (VPA) to join their in-house agency team on a contract basis. This is an exciting opportunity for an early-career professional with hands-on experience in video production. The role will support the production of high-quality video content for internal stakeholders and brand initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Partner with the Video Account Manager II to assist with the planning and execution of video projects from concept to completion.



  • Manage day-to-day project tasks including:




    • Building production budgets and timelines



    • Opening and managing jobs in Kantata (or similar project management tool)



    • Scheduling and tracking production milestones



    • Communicating with vendors, creative teams, and clients





  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects meet brand guidelines, regulatory requirements, and internal compliance standards.



  • Attend video shoots and assist with production logistics; interact professionally with senior leadership on set.



  • Maintain project archives and facilitate post-production wrap-up activities.




Required Skills & Experience:


  • 2-4+ years of video production experience, preferably in an ad agency environment or comparable setting



  • Bachelor's degree preferred



  • Strong understanding of the video production process and workflow, including pre-production, production, and post-production phases



  • Experience building estimates, creating production schedules, and managing multiple projects simultaneously



  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills



  • High attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and problem-solve in a fast-paced, high-volume environment



  • Collaborative mindset with a positive, proactive approach



  • Pharmaceutical industry experience is a plus, but not required
