Job Description

Objective:

Electricians in the Field Services Group are responsible for the support of customers and project teams in the field as well as ability and technical skill set to perform control system installation efforts while demonstrating the essential competencies core to Rockwell.

Technical Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge of safety procedures in an industrial environment
  • Understanding of electrical drawings including loop diagrams, wiring diagrams and P&IDs
  • Knowledge of basic AC/DC circuitry and related test equipment
  • Knowledgeable of control system architecture including hardware, and networking equipment
  • Experience with installation of conduit, cable tray, cable, and wiring systems.
  • Ability to interpret control system wiring diagrams to install and terminate panel wiring
  • Learns and applies client and company standards and procedures
  • Ability to troubleshoot control wiring, electrical circuits and components, etc.
  • Must be willing to learn, follow directions, and work safely
  • Must be able to lead and teach apprentices and show them how to complete tasks safely
  • Knowledge of installation practices as defined in the NEC
  • Capable of operating aerial lifts and material handling equipment
  • Have a general understanding of control system architecture, process controls and wiring

The Essentials - You Will Have;

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Legal Authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 50% of time.

The Preferred - You may also have:

  • 2+ years related experience and/or training in electrical field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Detailed knowledge of OSHA and/or MSHA standards
  • Must have working knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC)
  • Detailed knowledge of various site procedures, safety procedures, and MSDS
  • Knowledge of PLC and DCS operation.
  • Exposure to general industrial environment; Available to travel for extended period.
  • Various software packages inclusive of:
  • MS Office suite
