Keysight's Global Services Organization (KGSO) is seeking to hire an ambitious Field Service Engineer (FSE) to join its team, with responsibility for delivering on-site support services to Keysight's Parametric Test customers across the Semiconductor Industry Sector, with a focus on DC Parametric Testing in the cleanroom test cell environment.

Seeking an ambitious Field Service Engineer (FSE) within Keysight's Global Services Organization (KGSO) that is dedicated to innovation and contribution, where respect, teamwork and uncompromising integrity are the ingredients for individual and company success. As a member of Keysight's Wafer Test Solutions (WTS) Field Service Team you will work on test These systems primarily include the Keysight 4070, 4080, P9000 and NX5400A families of Parametric Test Solutions.


Responsibilities

You will have the responsibility of supporting our Semiconductor Wafer customers for on-site installation, implementation, maintenance, calibration, upgrade, and repair of Keysight's WTS Parametric Solutions. You will be called upon to provide on-site support work, as well as remote support and troubleshooting via phone, email and online audio-visual facilities. The responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manage and implement preventative maintenance (PM) and calibration schedules in conjunction with the customer's production requirements
  • Installation of hardware and software/firmware upgrades and proactively install service notes
  • Perform on-site troubleshooting and repair of customer equipment in a timely, thorough, and professional manner
  • As a primary interface to the customer, work with cross-functional teams to address difficult repair situations, helping to return customer systems to fully functional status in the shortest time possible
  • Solve a broad range of problems, of varied complexity involving hardware, software, networking, operating systems, and probers
  • Deliver customer training
  • Determine and develop approaches to the varied assignments associated with this position
  • Lead field service and support projects requiring coordination with other functions, customers and suppliers
  • Assist the Sales teams as needed; proactively look for growth opportunities to drive annual recurring revenue
  • On-site installation and commissioning of the complete solution
  • Supporting regional project teams with support strategy planning and implementation

This position includes a company vehicle, as it requires 25-50% travel in northeast region of the United States of America.


Qualifications

Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Electronic or Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology or equivalent experience. To qualify for this position the following qualifications are sought:

Required:

  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record; ability to travel via car and air
  • Self-directed with minimum supervision, able to make decisions that favorably effect customer uptime
  • Excellent communication skills, clearly demonstrate organization skills
  • Ability to work in high-stress, mission-critical situations; your performance impacts customer results
  • Flexible working hours per customer commitments with ability to travel on short notice
  • Ability to work afterhours/overtime as customer situation dictates
  • Ability to lift equipment weighing 50 lbs
  • Ability to effectively use Digital Voltmeters, Oscilloscopes and Frequency Counters for troubleshooting
  • Discipline to complete paperwork in a timely manner, manage company assets and spare parts effectively
  • The ability to work from your own home office is essential; this position is not located at a Keysight office. The desired location for this position is Albany, NY or surrounding areas.

Highly Desired

  • 5+ years' experience on Semiconductor Parametric Testers, particularly Keysight's 4080 and P9000 families
  • Strong troubleshooting skills applied to precision test systems, comprised of test hardware, software, computers/operating systems, probers/fixtures, etc.
  • Ability to travel internationally
  • Proven customer interfacing experience
  • Demonstrate electromechanical aptitude and skills
  • Familiarity with semiconductor wafer product environments and processes
  • Prior functional test experience, particularly those involving Keysight instrumentation and instrument-based systems

Pay Range:

USD $80,700.00 - USD $134,500.00 Year
