Your role

To facilitate growth of Power Technique's Aftermarket through a strong commitment to the delivery of high-quality maintenance,repair and overhaul of portable air compressors, dewatering pumps, and generators

A successful candidate will have strong mechanical skills and/or schooling. Final selected candidate should have owntools or be willing to invest in a basic tool set

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • This position will be required to troubleshoot, diagnose, and provide high quality repairs on all makes of mechanical andelectronic diesel engines. Diagnose malfunctioning compressors, pumps, and generators, to determine possible causes offailures, and perform repairs.
  • Support all Atlas Copco and multi-brand products by performing routine preventivemaintenance and repairs.
  • Must be a self-starter with good communication skills. The applicant must be able to perform all technicaltest and procedures and provide written summary of all tasks executed.
  • Provide high level of customer service, by communicating with the customers through effectivecommunication, interpersonal skills, and professionalism.
  • Train and assist other service technicians to increase overall workshop engine competency.
  • Promote and practice proper safety procedures and the correct use of personal protective equipment at alltimes.
  • Provide basic tools for job along with normal maintenance of tools and equipment.
  • Some overtime work is required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
To succeed, you will need

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years* of experience servicing major brand equipment and engines, including electronic engine diagnostics and troubleshooting.
  • Factory training in Cummins, John Deere, Perkins, Volvo, Kubota, Kohler, and/or Scania engines is preferred. Otherwise, training will be provided for qualified candidates.

Education

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Electrical and/or Energy Storage certification is a plus.

  • Independently troubleshoot, diagnose, order parts, and repair engines/equipment.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Work in extreme temperatures and adverse conditions.
  • Represent the company professionally.
  • Make independent decisions and solve problems creatively.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and committed to high-quality standards.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Demonstrate mechanical aptitude, integrity, and effective communication-written and verbal.
  • Proficient in email etiquette, Excel, and electronic parts systems.
