Your Role on Our Team The TA Manager for Engineering & IT is a key operational leader responsible for driving full-cycle recruitment for technical, professional, and contingent roles across our Engineering and Information Technology (IT) functions. In this role, you'll lead recruitment strategies, manage staffing vendors, and champion operational excellence. You'll coach, develop, and performance manage the TA team, build robust talent pipelines, and ensure alignment of recruitment strategies with the evolving needs of our Engineering and IT organizations. This role partners closely with hiring managers, Engineering and IT leaders, and Talent (HR) to forecast hiring needs, refine processes, and deliver an exceptional candidate experience - using data, systems, and technology to drive continuous improvement across every stage of the hiring lifecycle. You'll be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities: Team Leadership & Stakeholder Partnership
Lead and develop TA team members through mentorship, coaching, and professional growth. Partner with Engineering and IT leaders to understand role requirements, drive process efficiency, and provide consultative recruiting support. Collaborate with Talent (HR) and business leadership to ensure hiring strategies align with broader workforce planning and business goals.
Recruiting Strategy & Execution
Oversee full-cycle recruitment for professional, technical, and contingent roles across Engineering and IT functions. Forecast hiring needs aligned to business growth plans, technology roadmaps, and workforce strategy. Manage staffing vendor partnerships to ensure alignment with hiring needs, quality standards, and service expectations.
Talent Attraction, Pipelining & Employer Brand
Develop and implement proactive sourcing strategies to engage top Engineering and IT talent, including direct outreach, networking, and talent pooling. Build and maintain robust pipelines of technical talent for critical and hard-to-fill roles. Promote Milwaukee Tool's employer brand through thoughtful candidate engagement strategies and targeted recruitment marketing initiatives.
Candidate Experience, Technology & Process Optimization
Champion a high-quality candidate experience by driving efficiency, clear communication, and consistency across every stage of the recruitment process. Ensure ATS accuracy, compliance, and data integrity across all recruitment activities. Leverage systems, data, and technology to inform decisions, optimize workflows, and scale recruiting operations. Use technology as a core enabler of recruiting effectiveness - continually identifying opportunities to improve system usage, enhance tools, and scale talent acquisition operations. Proactively refine recruiting processes to improve team productivity, reduce friction points, and support operational excellence.
What TOOLS you'll bring with you:
Proven ability to lead and develop recruiting professionals through coaching, mentorship, and team management, with 6+ years of overall recruiting experience including leadership. Expertise in managing full-cycle recruitment for professional and technical roles, with a focus on candidate experience, employer branding, proactive pipelining, and stakeholder partnership. Experience recruiting for Engineering, Technology, or other highly skilled functions. Demonstrated success in partnering with business leaders to build and execute scalable, high-impact hiring strategies. Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to foster lasting partnerships with internal teams, candidates, and external partners. Hands-on experience with Applicant Tracking Systems, with a strong understanding of system optimization and compliance requirements. Solid experience managing staffing agency relationships. Strong analytical skills and technical aptitude, with the ability to use data, systems, and technology to drive informed decisions and optimize recruiting operations. Strategic thinker with a continuous improvement mindset and a focus on operational excellence in recruiting practices. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
