Position Summary

At Suffolk, we value collaboration and energy. This role will be integral to shaping the company's new market growth and client engagement strategy. The Sr. Market Intelligence Analyst is responsible for leading strategic growth initiatives by identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities in key national construction markets, such as Advanced Manufacturing and Life Sciences. This role will report into the SVP, Strategic Growth Markets and be primarily engaged in gathering intelligence on target national clients, tracking activity in the commercial real estate market, leveraging digital tools to analyze public filings, trends in the construction industry, CAPEX/OPEX plans, etc.

Additionally, the Sr. Market Intelligence Analyst will support strategic positioning and industry engagement, to enable Suffolk to maintain its competitive edge and continued leadership in the Construction industry. This role requires a very analytical individual who is excited to take on a high visibility role with incredible potential for growth.

Overall, this individual will have a deep knowledge of the Construction Industry and its fastest-growing sectors. You will have a passion for the art-of-the deal, hustle and generating actionable intel through world-class presentations and dashboards.



Responsibilities

The Sr. Market Intelligence Analyst's responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

    Strategic Development and Execution
    • Serve as a trusted contributor to the national BD team, providing insights and analysis on key issues.
    • Create and oversee the implementation of a Business Development dashboards, focused on increasing transparency and effectiveness of BD activities.
    • Drive the value proposition of Suffolk to ensure alignment with market needs.
  • Conduct industry research and competitive analysis to identify and evaluate potential client and partnership targets.
  • New Business Development:
    • Gather and analyze market intelligence on industry trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to support business development efforts and identify new business opportunities.
  • Market Expansion:
    • Explore new regions, customers, and market trends to expand Suffolk's market presence.
    • Attend industry events, board meetings, client meetings to support BD team and maintain Suffolk's brand exposure.
  • Support the due diligence process by analyzing financial, legal, and operational data and coordinating with internal stakeholders.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies relevant to our product lines and identify opportunities for growth and expansion.
  • Organize and lead initiatives for product and technology adaptation internally to ensure visibility and market penetration.


Qualifications

  • 7+ years of professional experience in Analysis or Business Development within a construction, engineering or developer organization; experience in Advanced Manufacturing, Defense and/or Life Sciences preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree required; master's degree in Business Administration or a related field preferred
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing tracking tools and conducting deep market analysis
  • Experience in a client-facing role
  • Strong capabilities in enhancing operational efficiency and developing ROI, BD metrics
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Power BI, Pitchbook Data, Microsoft 365, Dynamics CRM, Salesforce, CB Insights, Factset
