The Opportunity

EmbryRiddle Aeronautical University is seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Student Financial Services (SFS) Process Specialist to support and optimize financial systems and student account processes. This role serves as the primary point of contact for payment plans and student withdrawals, while ensuring the accuracy and functionality of key systems such as TouchNet, Campus Solutions, and VA billing tools.

The Process Specialist will collaborate across departments-including Financial Aid, Veteran Student Services, Admissions, and University Accounting-to ensure compliance, system integration, and timely communication of updates. A deep understanding of the student lifecycle, third-party sponsorships, military education benefits, and financial policies is essential.

This position requires strong analytical skills, technical system proficiency, and a commitment to high-quality customer service. The ideal candidate thrives in a team environment and is dedicated to supporting student success through accurate, efficient, and student-centered financial services.

Qualifications

Required Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of relevant professional experience in student financial services, higher education administration, or a related field preferred.

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong skills in Excel.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a demonstrated commitment to customer service.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills; ability to work collaboratively with diverse internal and external stakeholders in a team-oriented environment.
  • Self-starter with a willingness to share knowledge, learn new systems and tasks, and adapt to evolving processes.
  • Ability to coordinate and manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

Compensation:

The hourly pay range for this position is $20.00 to $21.00, with a starting hourly pay expectation around $21.00. The final offer will consider the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience, along with applicable state regulations, internal equity, and business needs.
