As a Construction Manager, they are responsible for Managing the Construction and pre-commissioning of the site assigned. They represent Global E&C Solutions in front of the Customer, PMC and Partner organizations. The Construction Manager is responsible for: - Managing safety, quality, schedule, and cost (implementation of HSE rules and permitting, promotion of safety, compliance with IMS; implementation of QAQC standards and resolution of site NCR; successful completion of construction within defined budgets and schedule). - Ensuring the quality of construction/installation works according to contract requirements, codes and Air Liquide standards; supporting the qualification of manufacturing workshops. - Managing the interfaces between disciplines at site as well as between partners and subcontractors; handling claims, disputes, changes and clarifications within timely manner. - Demonstrating an inter-discipline mindset (included by not limited to HSE, QAQC, Civil, Piping, Flat Bottom Tank, Electrical and Instrumentation), intellectual and honest profile. - Reporting on a monthly basis (safety and quality performance, construction situation and forecast, and budget consumption including quantities, man-hour consumption, cost and achieved milestones). - Executing a smooth handover to the commissioning manager; support as needed commissioning. - Developing competitiveness by supporting proposal, project or enforcing optimization on site. - Demonstrating beside technical experience a strong management and leadership capability; develop and train new talents; assessing capabilities and performance of the site team. - Planning with the Project Manager the mobilization of construction and commissioning staff, ensure sufficient number and qualification of personnel; coordination of specialists or vendor representatives in right time at site to execute their job; capitalization of the construction. In addition to the site work, he supports the coordination of Site Activity in North America. They are responsible for: - Promoting the site services offer in North Americas: reparation/revamping, RFI site coordination, construction, and commissioning activities for other E&C centers and entities (LI, CI, Airgas, ALaT, etc). - Mobilizing of the resources (including from overseas) for the execution of the service; supporting the secondment (visa, arrival, etc). - Supporting the estimate and invoicing; coordinate the reporting of each site (monthly light report). ___________________ Are you a MATCH?Requirements - Bachelor's Degree in Science (Civil or Mechanical preferred) or equivalent experience - 10+ years experience in E&C site construction activities (mastering Civil, Structure, Piping, Instrumentation, Electrical, Flat Bottom Tank, Pre-commissioning works) - 5+ years experience in site safety and quality - Extensive knowledge in sub-contracting management, budget, scheduling and progress. - Basic knowledge of Engineering in all disciplines and process - 100% travel (assigned on construction sites) Preferred - ISO9001 certification - Commissioning experience Our Differences make our Performance At Air Liquide, we are committed to build a diverse and inclusive workplace that embraces the diversity of our employees, our customers, patients, community stakeholders and cultures across the world.
